I grew up in Michigan with my mom's old 35mm camera often by my side, and tried my hand at jazz, sculpture, and lots of other creative endeavors before I attended the Kansas City Art Institute and returned to my first love — photography.

One of the things I love about portrait and wedding photography is how relevant they are — allowing for an exciting creative process and simultaneously creating something that is perpetually meaningful to others. I take a unique approach to each project, using off-camera strobes and flashes controlled by radio transmitters to create portable studio lighting effects. The end result is more interesting and flattering light than many other photographers are capable of offering, available at virtually any location you can imagine.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE BaileyI will start by saying that Asa was absolutely INCREDIBLE. He was definitely faced with a difficult task of capturing the rowdy group of people that was our bridal party, and he exceeded our expectations! I had 10 bridesmaids, and my now husband had 10 groomsmen, and Asa didn't miss a single picture. We also had a huge reception of around 300 people, and Asa was constantly moving around all night, capturing all of the moments that we wanted to capture as well as getting amazing pictures of all of our guests having fun. He was so professional, and very easy to get along with. I definitely recommend hiring Asa for your wedding, you won't regret it!
